“Make one more comment about my mother and I will cave your face in,” Severin said, never ever being one to take any sort of comment about his mother. Even if it was a joke amongst two friends who were drinking. The sort of friends that had the tendency to make out when drunk. But still. All the same, despite the beginnings of a lot of alcohol in his system, Severin grew serious for a moment. Severin drank half of his beer in two swigs to calm himself down. The last thing he wanted to do was send Clint to the hospital after it’s been so long since they’ve seen each other. “You know I had this day marked down in my calendar, circled your name and drew little hearts and shit,” Severin joked, finally able to joke once again. “I’ve been busy, and you know he’s got a fucking diary full of plots to off you, finally. I helped with a few of them. But, uh, besides plotting your death… yeah, been busy. Jim’s a prick. Still. Nothing’s really changed, I guess.”

Sebastian clenched his jaw. He was all for the screams and crys of the idiots that pissed off Jim most days, but today was not most days. Bloody fucking boss had assigned four hits tomorrow. Four. For him. Fucking brilliant. And with his luck being as lovely as it was, of course none of the targets schedules were lining up in a way to make this even close to possible. Yet. He would figure it out, but the screams were getting distracting.

“Sev,” he growled, looking up. ”Can you at least try to get something coherent out of him? Or are you just going to let him sit there and cry all evening? Because if that’s the case, you might as well just off him now.” He rolled his eyes at the man, “Fuckin’ pussy.” His brother had barely begun after all.

“Can you at least shut the fuck up?” Severin growled, turning his head over his shoulder to look at his brother who was being of absolutely no help. None. Zero. Zilch. “Why the fuck are you even here, I mean, you’re about forty five percent of the reason this shit head is being uncooperative, you’re such a fucking distraction.” Severin went on and on, hardly paying attention as he worked away with a pair of pliers and a screwdriver.

The screams of Mr. Smith echoed throughout the room and simply served to irritate Severin. Normally, they wouldn’t, not really. But with his brother criticizing his work… Well, you could hardly blame him for wanting to try to be as close to perfection as he could be.

Stabbing the entire set into the wood, he threw himself into his own chair. If he was going to solve something, he would have to see the evidence but no, apparently that was off limits and to make matters worse Sebastian wasn’t-

The detective’s eyes drew up to the face of the other man as he made the realization. “Where have you been all day?” It was a rhetorical question, of course. Jim could have easily piece together where he had been. It was just nice to hear someone give him a correct answer for once.

Sebastian wondered how long it would take Jim to really notice that he was there. Of course, it didn’t take that long. A few minutes. Longer than it normally would for… a normal person, but Sebastian knew that Jim was anything but. That was something he quickly had to get used to. Sebastian wasn’t surprised at all when Jim made the connection that he finally wasn’t alone.

“Out,” Sebastian siad, “You needed me to go on a few errands for the case, remember?” Sebastian asked, reaching to rub at his shoulder again. “Not entirely sure what the purpose was behind all of it. You wouldn’t tell me, so care to elaborate why I had to go to the circus, a brothel, and a hair dresser?”

Severin what if James wanted you to dress as a puppy. What if he promised to let you suck him if you dressed up as a puppy.
